From today through May 31, visitors to Langson Library’s second floor can see “Healing and (Re)Building Connection Through Art,” a student exhibit featuring works inspired by travel to Mexico during a fall course on undocumented immigrant experiences taught by Laura E. While in Mexico, students created individual and collective artwork, met people who were deported or returned, and explored how international mobility affects identities and feelings of belonging.

Above, Student Housing members show support for the campaign, which began in 1999 with an international uproar after Italy’s top court overturned the rape conviction of a 45-year-old suspect because his 18-year-old victim was wearing tight jeans at the time of the attack.
