UCI Medical Center, part of UCI Health, has reached a significant milestone by receiving Medicare’s four-star rating for patient experience. The achievement underscores UCI Health’s commitment to exceptional healthcare and outstanding patient interactions. “A four-star rating by Medicare is validation that our dedication to delivering high-quality care is felt by everyone who comes to UCI Medical Center,” said Brad Giafaglione, director of experience at UCI Health.

On June 13, the Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing hosted the inaugural Susan & Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences Scholars Day. This event celebrated the outstanding achievements of students, clinicians and faculty from a variety of disciplines within the COHS and UCI Health. More than 150 participants gathered to share their scholarly work, network and prepare for future presentations. In attendance (above, from fourth from left along with podium presenters) were several deans including the Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing’s Mark Lazenby, the School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences’s Jan Hirsch, the School of Medicine’s Michael Stamos and the Program in Public Health’s Bernadette Boden-Albala.
