In the wake of the devastating L.A. County wildfires, campus first responders from across the UC community are organizing food and clothing drives for those who have lost their homes. UC Irvine has remained poised to assist with housing and transportation if the UCLA campus comes under an evacuation order. Meanwhile, the UC Irvine Police Department joined other first responders on the Eaton fire at an operations base near the Rose Bowl, patrolling evacuated areas in Altadena and Pasadena to deter looting. There are also numerous donation drives as well as information and resources available online for those affected by the fires. |
