The School of Social Ecology will host its second annual Career Summit, thanks to a record-setting level of donations made on Giving Day. Providing workshops on how to conduct informational interviews, build a resume, network and more, the event will help prepare students for their job search after college. “Students today will be tomorrow’s professionals,” says donor David Feldman, director of Water UCI. “By investing in them, we’re not only investing in their future, we’re investing in ours.” |

Men's tennis wins second-straight Big West title |

The 49th-ranked UC Irvine men's tennis team upended No. 34 UC Santa Barbara on Sunday to win their second-straight Big West Championship and third in the last four years. With the victory, the Anteaters punched their ticket to the NCAA Tournament and will compete in the first round against the University of San Diego this Saturday at 1 p.m at the Hogan Tennis Center in San Diego. The winners advance to the second round to face either USC or Arizona State on Sunday. |

Early intervention for autism improves outcomes |

The earliest signs of autism begin to appear between the ages of 1 and 2½ years old for most children diagnosed with the neurodevelopmental disorder. Making a diagnosis earlier than that is challenging, says UCI Health pediatrician Dr. Peter Chung, medical director of the UCI Health Center for Autism & Neurodevelopmental Disorders. Intensive early intervention improves outcomes, he says. |

Anteater-for-a-day, Garner donned the band shirt and took to the stage, playing our fight song on the saxophone. |
