Clinical psychology receives APA accreditation |

The clinical psychology program has reached a significant milestone in its continuing development, receiving “accredited, on contingency” status from the American Psychological Association’s Commission on Accreditation. The APA recognized several strengths of the program, including its strong alignment with a clinical-science training model, full funding and subsidized housing for all students, and the successful launch of an in-house training clinic. The program will be eligible for full accreditation without the “contingency” status upon the graduation of its first students in 2027. |

Making change through policy |
Liming Dong was initially drawn to business economics because it helped him make sense of the world. The numbers told a story of progress – GDP growth, rising exports, improved efficiency – and he also wanted to account for those left out of that progress, leading him to double major in business economics and international studies. After graduating next month, Dong will be heading to USC’s Price School of Public Policy to pursue a Master of Public Policy. He envisions working in international trade policy. “A lot of policies fail because they don’t listen to the people they affect,” he said. “I want to change that.” |
